Re: Paper organization

Thanks everyone! I found the responses super interesting. I think Pam hit it on the head with sorting by whatever makes stuff easiest to find back. But I just haven't entirely figured out what that is yet. One thing I'm starting to figure out, is that I really need to keep collections together someh...

Paper organization

I have been on a tear with the scrapbooking lately. Sorry I haven't posted the results - I get in a groove and don't always think to take pictures of the finished product. But now I've gone through so much paper recently, that it's got me thinking about how my paper stash is organized, and I think i...

Re: Vacation!

Late to this party, but I hope your trip was magical! We've got a full week booked in July, and I can't wait. Well, the July heat is not something I'm especially looking forward to, but since the kids' break schedules do not align well anymore, mid-summer and Christmas week are about what we're down...

Re: A couple of layouts

I always love your travel layouts, but that umbrella man die cut with the paper that looks like rain - love it!

My new craft skill

Last time I checked in, I told y'all that I was busy with craft fair planning, and since that event was Saturday, I feel like "Host a Craft Fair" is now a new craft related skill that I can now add to my crafty resume. LOL. Well, maybe that's not so much a crafty skill as a project manager...

Re: Printer recommendations

I currently have an HP Envy ink printer/scanner. It does great when you buy your cartridges directly from HP, but any other source is a crap shoot. I've tried brand new (supposedly not re-loaded) from Amazon and from local office stores, but I think HP must have done something to make their printers...

Re: Stay far away from me…

Pam - I've been watching for updates on FB and even checked in here over the past week as I've been able. I'm so glad to hear that you're home. You and Joel have been in my thoughts every day.

Re: Time to Celebrate

WOW! Thirteen Years???? It's flown by so quickly. But I remember those early days well. Fun times! Thanks to all of you who have made this place home and kept it going for all of these years! I am so thankful that no matter how long of a break I may need to take just to get life sorted out, that thi...

Re: Craft Fair

Thank you, Pam. Sadly, it seems like that's still the case. We did have a good turnout at the marching band competitions this year, with regard to getting parents to help push things onto the field. And several were really good about helping with the meals on-site. And we're thankful for that, but I...

Craft Fair

I know I've complained before about how difficult it is to find good parent volunteers for the band boosters, and the story is the same no matter what the booster club or situation is. 20% of the people do 80% of the work. And now, in my 5th year of the high school band boosters, I'm right back in t...

Re: One of those projects

That's interesting Marianne. Thanks for that information from Ranger. I wouldn't have thought there would be much difference between pigment and dye ink and how they redistribute, and honestly, I would have thought that a die pad would be more susceptible to gravity than something pigment based, but...

Re: One of those projects

That looks awesome! At some point a million years ago, I was taught to store the inks upside down, so that the top of the pad didn't dry out. Seemed logical enough to me! But yes, it means I have to literally pull out the entire drawer and turn everything right side up so that I can see what color i...
