Re: Smitten! (And other 2017 pages)

Those pages are so great! I adore baby photos, and the pages you made to host them are so sweet.

Re: Recent pages - and TITLES

Thanks! Many of these layouts are on papers from the "vintage" bin. I have two large rolling 12x12 tubs, and one contains all of the designer stuff, like from warehouse boxes and kit clubs that aren't CS. The other bin is the stuff that I was buying from Michaels to supplement my Cre...

Recent pages - and TITLES

Oh.. my word. I've had these pages done for a while but they needed titles (and a few needed some embellishments as well). Today I had a slow day at work, so I spent it near the computer, but working on titles for these pages. Ladies... the titles on these pages took me FIVE HOURS. Used the cricut f...

What an awful thing to have to face. Your daughter and all of your family will be in my thoughts.

Re: Layouts from the weekend

Great job! I am working to finish my 2012 albums. Best of luck to you! I have two-three albums for trips that were so very long ago that I just plain gave up. And I'm often very sad about it. To try to get back to them now would require an exercise in style regression, which is do-able, but difficu...

Re: Layouts from the weekend

Wow, Julie! You're definitely on a roll. I love the name of Jake's camp. From what I remember of BS camp that name is perfect! LOL. The actual name of the camp is Camp May. The Camp Runamok is part of the cardstock design! Can you believe it? That's why I HAD to use that cardstock and that layout -...

Layouts from the weekend

Here are a few of the layouts I got put together over the weekend. There are a ton more, but they're not quite done (missing titles and such). These are all part of my "Finish 2017 and get those albums on the shelf" project.

Re: Scrapping in batches

I tend to use Walgreens because it's quite literally right up the road. I had a really bad experience with SnapFish many many years ago (spent a ton of money and all of the prints were terrible). So they haven't been on my radar since then. But if they do have sales like that, maybe it's worth givin...

Scrapping in batches

Any of you who have known me for long know that I tend to scrapbook chronologically - or at least at a minimum, that's how my albums are all organized. Given that I'm still working on finishing up 2017, that's nearly 5 years worth of photos to work on and once I started picking it up again during th...

Re: Winter Fun

Fun winter page Julie. Here's a trick that might help with that old CM stash you're trying to use; start with the embellishments. Once you have your photos picked choose an embellishment or two you like with them, then go through your paper for something that works. I usually find that easier than ...

SG Kit Layout - Christmas Tree

I've had this Scrapbook Generation kit for ages, and it's one of my favorites, but I just don't take that many snow day/winter photos. So I just decided to use it for Christmas tree decorating and I think it works. I had to tweak the left page a bit because the photos I had weren't great and didn't ...

Re: 6 x 6 Class - Week #20 LOs

I will say that with this class, I got WAY better at throwing away scraps. I pretty much didn't save anything smaller than 2x6. and if it was an angular cut, I didn't save it at all. I also have to admit that it may be time to just bite the bullet and purge most of my Webster's Pages 6x6s. Most of t...

Re: #30dscbl8

I don't have an answer for you, but I do totally dig it even with the background color that came through. I'm totally getting an ancient stone wall kind of vibe that would look awesome on a travel layout. I'm not sure how to incorporate it, but I'd probably start by gently tearing it out (I'd probab...
