Thanks ladies. I used Metallic cardstock, and chose the colours because of the orange fronts on the pumps.

Re: Christmas 2023 Challenge - April

Better watch out Sue - we just might officially put you in charge of challenges going forward, LOL! This is a terrific idea; I'm familiar with snippets in fabric, but never thought to do it in paper.
Everyone's creations look wonderful. I'm sorry I'm away and don't have any supplies with me.

egg-stra time together

I don't entirely love the title of this page, but couldn't not use these 49 and Market chipboard words which were the perfect colours. Last year, based on an idea I saw online, we dyed our eggs using food colouring and whipped cream - reminded me of the shaving cream technique for marbling paper. Pa...

Gas for Less! - Route 66

One more Route 66 gas station page - although there's just an abandoned building and decaying signs to indicate Whiting Bros. was ever there. I don't consider myself a history buff but I enjoy researching what once was when I have photos with little to no info; quality gas for less was the Whiting B...

Route 66 gas stations

Back to my Route 66 album, my current Subject Spotlight is gas stations. They play a big part in Route 66 history/nostalgia, and you miss a lot if you pass them by. The first page is photos from Pete's Gas Station Museum in Williams, AZ. The private museum houses gas station memorabilia from Pete's ...

art & flowers

Scrapping' Serendipity that I looked at these photos recently, then happened across these old Prima Fairy Flora papers (2010) in my stash right after. Sketch by Susan Stringfellow; in her example she'd included a piece of embossed cardstock as one of the layers. I decided to copy that idea, and foun...

Elizabeth, that would never have occurred to me! Food for thought.

art journal page

Playing with the newest collection from 49 and Market; they could quickly become an obsession. Paper, ephemera, rub-ons and washi. Added a TH die-cut and some paper dolls. The paint, surprisingly, is from Junkitz - circa 2006. It's been far too long since I've played in an art journal.

Re: Instagram inspiration challenge

Terrific page, Sue. Spotting one Pileated Woodpecker is challenge enough here, never mind getting to watch two play peek-a-boo! I love the way you've put your photos on banners, not only drawing attention to them, but otherwise giving interest to them. Tree trunks that disappear out of both the top ...

Game Over

This is the spread that started on completely different papers, but found its home on Shimelle's Field Trip. A no-occasion family dinner at a local restaurant that has excellent food and an arcade. The middle photo on the left lifts up to reveal a couple more photos. Old QuicKutz aliens, spaceships ...

Re: Throwing Axes

Thanks ladies! It was fun; Pat, grab your family and go check out that place in town. I do love themed supplies and organize them by category/theme; papers in file folders and embellishments in drawers in Iris carts. My process is typically to choose the papers, and then pull out the embellishment d...
