It was 53 years ago today......

Post by ScrappinJen »

Every year on this date, I celebrate the arrival of the Beatles into my young life. Made these cards using the Queen of Diamonds layout card, paper from Tie Dye and Common Threads and stamps from All That Jazz and Concrete Jungle. All Club Scrap except the stamp of my four favorite moptops. Thanks for indulging me.

Good heavens! That long ago?? I'm really getting old.

It was 20 years ago today
Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play...

I can remember lyrics but can't remember my grandchildren's birthdays.

I LOVE the Beatles and your cards are super cool. Who was your favorite? I liked Ringo the best.

I'm a Ringo fan as well.

I asked Mom, "Why are they all screaming?" It was more than my 7-year-old brain could comprehend. Saw them on Ed Sullivan and watched them on TV getting on the plane to go home. Those black & white memories.

My favorite was George. I remember that first show on Ed Sullivan and thought their haircuts were outrageous, LOL. I was 12. I changed my tune very soon after that.

We all did, Farley.

My mom was a big Ringo fan. To this day I can hear a piece of music and tell you instantly if he played drums on it. Such a distinctive style.

OK, first - LOVE those cards.

Second - I love this post so very much, because I am reminded that I'm still a relative infant among my scrapbook sisters. Of course I knew the Beatles, but I wasn't even around when they debuted. :tomato:
