One Day - 20 Cards

Post by paddlegal »

Yesterday was my annual September card making day with my favorite guest teacher Julie Ebersole. She is a delightfully fun woman, incredibly creative and seriously organized to get 20 women to complete 20 cards. I wish these photos could do justice to the cards that have glittery items or the smooth, shiny metallic finishes when we used Nuvo Mousse.

Yesterday was so fun and I was so exhausted when I got home. These classes are for those who don't mind fairly fast paced, intense sessions though as you can see many of these cards are pretty simple and quick to make.

Those are wonderful!!! What a terrific day that had to have been.

Do you know the maker of the Georgia O'keeffe stamp?? I'd love to get that! It's such a super quote.

Thanks Debbie and Debi.

Debi I'll see what I can find out. It's a WM as were all the stamps we used with the exception of the small sentiments.

Yeah, you may say they look simple but those can be the hardest ones to pull off. Everything has to be just perfectly balanced. And that's a lot of different stamps and diecuts.

Thanks!

I always leave her class (yes exhausted) feeling inspired and looking at my existing stamps in a different way. Did I buy any new stamps yesterday? Heck ya! But only two that were actually used in the cards. Julie also did a trunk show of stamp and die sets from Flora and Fauna and Penny Black. I ended up with two F&F sets as well.

One thing that I like is how she white embosses simple, small sentiments on black card stock multiple times. I want to do that also and keep them handy to cut for cards as I make them. I like that look on the simple cards. She always shares little but really useful tips with us.

That is an excellent tip, Farley. Don't be surprised if you start seeing some black sentiments from me.

It's one of those slap-my-head-why-didn't-I-think-of-that idea.

BTW, that bicycle girl (if you don't already have her) is a Penny Black WM. She was a hit with everyone.
