Birthday Card and a Gift Box

Post by paddlegal »

My friend Jana and I are getting together today for our birthdays which have passed but that never makes any difference to us. We are neighbors also and haven’t seen each other for about 18 months. She's a high school teacher and an intuitive healer...yes a busy lady. She is also the friend I’ve mentioned before who is responsible for getting me into paper crafting.

So naturally I feel compelled to go over the top with my paper parts of her birthday gift. Jana is Chinese so I do my best in finding just the right Asian papers. The card was made from Kaiser Kraft “Hanami Garden” 6x6 paper pad and the box from the same collection but 12 x 12 paper plus some ready made die cuts. The card itself is an svg file from SVGCuts “Spring Blossoms” set. A set that I’ve used multiple times. And the box a freebie from SVGCuts as well.

I’m still deciding on what goes into the box. It will most likely be a bracelet that I have already made.

Thanks everyone! She did indeed love it all. We always have a good laugh at how I got started in this obsession. We had a nice 4+ hour chat of non-stopping catching up. We’d still be yakking if we didn’t need to go home. We’ve pledged not to let it go so long and are hopefully setting up a date in January.
