Dies that cost less
Re: Dies that cost less
I just received a second order of dies from Gina Marie.... she also had some stamp sets I wanted... need to keep a close eye on those... she had some great prices, but I think she doesn't keep a ton in stock. I'm starting to buy Christmas presents.... and buying some of these dies to do some cutting and then giving those as presents, too.

My dies are here and I'm really hoping for an opportunity to use them. They really do have a lot of detail. Thanks for the tip on running them through 2 times.
Re: Dies that cost less
I got the pine cones and have some textured Bastille paper that's kind of shimmery on one side. I ran them through with 2 layers of copy paper as a shim and went back and forth for 6 passes through. They were then super easy to pop the pieces out. I did the shimmery side for the detailed top and the dark plain brown on the flip side for the underneath layer. They look pretty cool!!

ok Pam.... every time I check this site for new dies (ok... I'm stalking this site... I think she gets small quantities of some things) .... I keep thinking about this post. I haven't bought the mice yet because I don't know what I'd do with them.... what would YOU do with them?pbp908 wrote:Oh dear. Did you see the itty bitty mice??? That website can get me in a lot of trouble.

Ahhhhh. That works. I've got a mouse stamp and can cut one with my Slice. But who knows, I may wind up buying those little guys. LOL

Re: Dies that cost less
Do they have many Christmas dies? I am like Keitha and not looking. I'm really trying to be good. I am a sucker for Christmas though.
Anyone make anything yet using them?

Re: Dies that cost less
I looked at that one several times, too. Love the trees and the deer and the greeting. I was wondering if it would be possible to cut the greeting away from the deer to use with other card designs. Seeing it big like this, it looks possible.
Re: Dies that cost less
Very nice card! I'mnotlooking, I'mnotlooking, I'mnotlooking...
Re: Dies that cost less
That's one of the dies that I got, and the wreath and deer, also. They have some pretty Christmas dies.
Re: Dies that cost less
Oh, yeah, I really liked the wreath and deer, too. But I kept saying, I have holly leaves, I have a deer, I could make this myself. Story of my life...
