Well I did have time Wednesday to start playing with the Tim mixed media dies. LOVE them! My first tries were on glossy photo paper colored with assorted die inks. I ran these two cards through my old Big Shot. What I learned is the metal shim is needed with that machine. It didn't cut all the way through but I still like the results of some parts still left in. And I colored the paper after I did the die cuts. Today I tried one of the dies on my Big Shot Pro and no shim was required. It cut cleanly all the way through.
Here are two cards. Two more are in the works.
TH mixed media dies?
Re: TH mixed media dies?
JoAnn's has them for 25% off - at least they did yesterday.
Did someone have these at the beach? I feel like I saw them or used them?

We are going to Billings today and I'm stopping at JoAnn's!
Farley, they are so cool and you are right, even with not cutting all the way through I still like the looks of it.

Pam... Cheryl H. had them at the beach. I played a little... but actually fussy-cut around one of the shapes and used it on a layout.

Very nice cards Farley. I also like that they didn't cut cleanly through in places; it adds some additional visual interest and makes for a more organic look overall. I remember Cheryl having them at the beach; I feel like I cut a couple but didn't do anything with them.
