January 2014 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
Re: January 2014 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
We're here, just a bit snowy and cold in the East. It's 3 with windchill of -15 but the sun is shining. We don't want to go out and shovel!

Pink is NOT my color, so this was hard for me, but I love these pictures of my nephew's daughters.

That is a LOT of pink, Sue! But pretty for little girls. I'm with you, I'll probably never use that sheet of pink paper. I had high hopes for that bird kit and was so disappointed in the colors of it.

Sue, LOVE this layout. It is a lot of pink but perfect for those gals. What is the patterned paper?
I'm with you, Marianne, I was soooo disappointed with that kit.

Great pages, Sue! It's hard to work with a color you don't normally use, especially when it's the dominant color.

Re: January 2014 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge
When my last remaining ( ) France photos arrived, I found one set that was perfect for this sketch.
A steam train ride from St. Jean du Gard to Auduze. The light band with the dots on the left page is the edge of a pocket where the brochure and a tag with journaling will go.
On the little wooden ticket (thank you, Monica!) are the little words "ou est" for the title "Where is the train station?"

Love it Laurie! I still like to use lots of photos on pages. I'm been trying the one photo pages but it's hard for me. Pam Cook and Christy have it mastered though.

I'm with you on that Debbie. I have way to many photos to just use one on a page.

I would love to try one photo on a page....but it just doesn't "feel" right yet.

That's a really good sketch for those photos, Laurie. Glad you are looking around the forum and finding the stuff you missed.
The best way I know to just use one photo on a layout is if you have a really special one that stands out from an event, put that one on a page and the rest of the photos on the facing layout. Or if you only have one photo, that works, too!
