Great job using up those ALSB kits Rachelle! I, too, *heart* Chihuly; we have an exhibit that just opened here at the Museum that I'll be taking in, and I visited the Seattle exhibit twice when I was there a couple years ago. Your kit choice was perfect for that page. And look at you - using up diecut flowers and creating a flower stencil!

A couple more alsb's bit the dust today, yeah!

1st: the last of my golf tournament pics with dad and hubby. Used a Varsity alsb and created some alcohol ink serendipity squares for embellishments.

2nd: this one is from some vintage Christmas photos that I found in a box of pics I brought from my mom's when we moved her here last fall. I didn't even know she had pics from this particular Christmas. On the right hand layout, the lady in the top right photo and man in the bottom left are brother and sister (my cousins) and even though their father (my dad's brother) was at this gathering there are no pics of him. Unfortunately, he had a heart attack during the middle of the night after the party and passed away. I used a Musical Interlude alsb for this one.

I'm so happy you're getting so many pages done! Isn't it nice to get photos on these pages?

So sad you didn't have a photo of your uncle that Christmas. What an emotional roller coaster for that family.

these are great Rachelle... I have a binder of ALSBed pages, makes me want to get them out and put photos on them.
Last week my goal - which I failed at - was to get photos ordered. Perhaps I can get that done this week

Yes, it is a sad memory and it was the only Christmas we didn't go home from college for. I got a call from my dad at 6am on Christmas morning. I knew there was something wrong immediately.

On a happier note. I did a couple of more layouts today.

1st: a picture of my ladies golf league group when we lived in Idaho. Didn't keep in touch with any of them, but we had a lot of fun playing golf together. Varsity alsb with a lot of girly embellishments including a blinged up ampersand for bonus points!

2nd: another vintage Christmas. Reflections alsb with a few added embellishments to soften the angles. The tag was one I got in a swap a few years ago. I can't decipher the initials on the back, but someone here might recognize it. The colors went great with this paper.

Rachelle these are terrific. Your scrapping energy shows the fun in these LOs. Can't help with the tag. ( It would be so embarrassing if it was mine.)

Pam you get bonus points for making a red & in your comment!

WTG Rachelle! I may need to go through all of my pre-made LOs and see what I can come up with. You're inspiring several of us!

Not really killing any alsb's here since this is digi, but what the hay, it's my thread and I can post what I want, right? :tomato:

Got a bounty of purple green beans from a friend of mine last week and decided to try pickling them. Get to try them in about 2 weeks and can hardly wait. It's been years since I had them. Also, had fun making jar labels from the CS Homestead kit. Bon Appetit used for the layout.

The layout is great but the beans look even better. I've never heard of purple beans.
