Big Picture Classes

Post by ScrappinJen »

Currently taking a class from Zinia Amoiridu at Big Picture on making collage backgrounds. The first lesson is very simple, creating a pinwheel from 6x6 paper pads. However, I am on a tear, trying to kill off Tilescapes. So I made my own darn 6x6 pieces. I really like the result and will be using this idea again, hopefully to kill off a 6x6 paper pad or two. (I may have purchased another one at Michaels on Thursday. What is wrong with me?)

That was one of the kits I wished I had. it looks like a quilt block with the triangles. What is that place with the seated figures? I'm assuming they are not all alive!

It's an upscale shopping center in Sacramento called The Pavilions. It is the location of the stamp store where Farley frequently takes classes.

The sculptures are by Ruth Rippon. The one with my hubby is called The Lolllies. Little old ladies. The other is Mother and Children. I like to include art pieces on my layouts.

And yes, Tilescapes is very quilt like.
