There's quite a lot of Red, White and Blue over here, due to the Queen's Jubilee and the Olympics. Several British food companies have produced commemorative labels, with quirky names.
Marmite is a brown savoury spread I like on toast at breakfast. The fun label has MA'AMITE (one addresses the Queen as Ma'am).
We drank the Spitfire beer while Marianne was here last week. Cheers!
The "ephemera" are the collar from the neck of the bottle and the flattened cap.
We also saw a breakfast cereal that called itself Fuel Britannia!!
Kathryn.

Love the layout, Kathryn! It's definitely a banner year for Britain. I enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations and am looking forward to the Olympics opening ceremony.

It's amazing how fast July went by. I missed it, too! And no time to put in a late one today.
