August 2012 Scrapbook Challenge

Post by pamcook »

Summertime...and the livin' is easy...
Only 2 two choose from this month -

1) Use and envelope on your page
OR
2) Embellish/alter patterned paper to use on your page. Distressing the edges doesn't count. Emboss, stitch, paint, layer...

I love it! Are the green flowers rub-ons or stitched?

I will get on it. Combining it with my 28 Days of Sketches class. Ever the multi-tasker.

Stitched. Actually...being honest...it came that way. Prima had a line of embellished papers and I went crazy buying them. They're hard for me to work with though. This one is my favorite and I've tried to use it so many times. I finally found a photo that would work well. It was taken late last summer on Eid in Abu Dhabi.

And, Pam, I love your layout. So cheery and colorful. And I'm addicted to doilies lately. (May Flaum inspiration). Great job.

That is really pretty, Pam, that paper has it all. I thought you did all that stitching!

Ha! I never, ever would have thought of stitching a design. Wouldn't the stitched designs be pretty on a canvas background? You could even do a trapunto technique (is that how you spell it?).

Here's the other page. Bad photo of the layout but mostly I wanted to show how they stitched flowers made of netting and a border of circles.
