Scrapbooking Challenge January 2013--WINNER
Re: Scrapbooking Challenge January 2013
My stuff disappears fairly regularly out of my room without my permission. But the difference with me is, 9 year old girls can talk, and will tell you where they took your stuff off to.

Re: Scrapbooking Challenge January 2013
Pam did they come up here to be with mine
pbp908 wrote:I'm so darned aggravated. Finally found a photo to use for this challenge. Went to Bonnie's and found the perfect doilies for the page - a beautiful antique cream in exactly the right size. Came home and started to work on it and the doilies have disappeared. Only 2 of us have been in this room - me and the cat. I didn't put them in an odd place so that leaves the cat. Soon only one of us will be left if this mess keeps up, so if the cat posts - you'll know he won.
Now I've got to find something to substitute for the %#$@^& doilies.

Did you look in the closet?
Are you 100% sure you brought them home?

Actually, the thought occurred to me that I need to call Bonnie and make sure I didn't leave them lying on her kitchen counter. That would certainly let the cat off the hook - this time.
Re: Scrapbooking Challenge January 2013
Finshed mine!!! This is a random picture of my niece from a trip to the San Juans a couple years ago. I pulled out papers from this month's Swirlydoos kit to start with, then got stuck on what to use for the doilies until I suddenly realized that vellum would work nicely. The cut apart phrase is from BoBunny's Mamarazzi line. I attempted to use some rub-ons from Kaisercraft, which reminded me how much I hate them.... and used a sharpie to "fix" the half-done rub-ons. Didn't really work, but oh well. Dug through my bling and decided the Prima lacy swirl went well with it, then got stuck again. I didn't really want to add flowers, but I knew it needed something, so I dug out a piece of Prima floral border for the bottom.... and decided to add the brad. The top of the layout seemed a bit out of balance to me, so I dug through my embellishment drawer and stumbled upon yet more rub-ons (these are good ones though!) from BG and Fancy Pants. I kept adding rub-ons until I liked the look and then call it finished! And that is 2 challenges done this month!! Woo hoo!! Now to work on the card challenge......
