Scrapbooking Challenge February 2013-WINNER!!
Scrapbooking Challenge February 2013-WINNER!!
This month I have selected a double page sketch from scrapbookchallenges.ning.com that I found on Pinterest. Extra credit if you use this technique for the title:

and extra extra credit if you use monochromatic colors. Any color you choose just make it monochromatic! Have fun ladies, and I will have a small prize from my overflowing stash for the winner.

Interesting sketch! And I'll definitely go for the extra points with the title. That looks like a cool technique.

That is a very interesting sketch, I love the window box effect!
Re: Scrapbooking Challenge February 2013
What a great sketch. I'll also need to think about that.

Here is my entry.
FYI, if you try the extra credit technique with your letters, DON'T use plastic letters!! It's the only letters I could find small enough and they didn't turn out very good.

That turned out great Deb! I need to print some photos to get this done. I went through everything I had printed when I was on my one-page tear.
And thanks for the tip on the letter technique. I want to try that, so I'll keep it in mind. I had been thinking that chipboard letters would probably work best for this.

Great layout Deb. Thanks for the challenge and inspiration. I needed that push.
This sketch and technique intrigues me. So I've pulled out my pics and am getting started on a layout. I've stared the technique and letting it dry. Now to pick the papers.

Re: Scrapbooking Challenge February 2013
Here's the layout I created. It was interesting trying to incorporate all three of the things suggested. I used the sketch, the glazed glitter technique and got as monochromatic as I could.
I used the GG technique in the chipboard snowflakes under the picture and added some glitter on top of the glaze. It gives it a really icy effect.
On the chipboard title I used molding paste, glitter and the glaze on the n, o, w. On big S, I used molding paste to get texture and then flocked it for that snow feeling.
I glittered the paper snowflakes in the background and made snowflakes on the background paper with molding paste and stencil. They don't show too well in this pic but gives a great texture IRL. I layered some of the hand made paper under the pictures that Beth gave us to at ReCreate. I also distressed the edges of the paper but it doesn't show up to well in this picture.
This was really fun! Thanks Deb for the challenge.
