July 2016 Card Sketch - Color on Kraft

Ooohhh, aaahhh...I thought I like the gold better but the white is striking. Good thing I don't have to choose a favorite. It would be impossible.

Now I really want to try my water soluble pencils on the kraft paper, Farley. The roses are gorgeous.

Wow! These are all gorgeous examples. Love both the gold and the white embossing on Kraft. And all the different studies in color give me great inspiration to try them all!

Marianne, I think the water pencils might be my favorite coloring method so far for Kraft. I felt I had good control over the blending and how true the colors came through. Now I am wanting a wider variety of water color pencils. My color range is limited. Our Sacramento Blick store moved to a new and slightly closer location recently. I've only been in there once but I'm itching to go back now that I have a "want" in mind. They have open stock on the Inktense pencils and I did see a whole kit of the Stabillo.

I had a go at this yesterday, with white embossing powder. Of course I managed to smudge it with my thumb before I got it to the heat gun! I coloured it with brush pens.

Okay, I finished them. Happy with some, not as thrilled with the others. Used the Neon Doodles stamps from Club Scrap which was also a NBUS for me.

Clockwise from top left: Distress Ink pads on craft sheet, Gelatos on craft sheet, Zig Cleancolor brush pens and Prismacolor pencils. I think my favorite is Gelatos. The Clean Colors are also nice but I don’t feel the Distress Inks took well to kraft cardstock. And I have no experience with Prismacolors so I need to stay on that one.
