May 2017 Christmas card challenge

Post by pamcook »

I'm so far behind in this challenge. Perhaps I'll get caught up at the beach? Add that to my list...

This is pretty simple but can be adapted to your style. I had these die cuts in my stash and they were just perfect! I used a foam stamp - a clear stamp and a Misti would have made the whole thing even simpler.

I drew a line along the left margin to help me line up the stamp. Before stamping, I outlined the die cuts so I could decide where I wanted the red Merry Christmas. When I get home from work (I put these together during a conference call meeting!) I'll cut them apart. The card bases will either be white, red, or green. Depends on what I can find! I might add Stickles or Wink of Stella. I think I know where they are.

What a great idea!

Maybe I should bring my Christmas Card box and do some at reCreate, too. I haven't done any of the challenges yet this year.

Should have given credit to Jennifer McGuire for the inspiration. She did a similar card last year some time. I'm sure she used a stamped image instead of a die cut but I honestly can't remember!

Thanks for doing this month for me Pam! I am lost without all my scrapbook things here with me.

That's a super idea... great way to get rid of the onesies of stamps/diecuts left from any packages we've used on other projects. I may toss some Christmas things in my bag to bring, too.

I know exactly what you mean! Joel unloaded a couple of my shelves while I was away. He hasn't started installing the floor yet so everything is spread all over the house. Talk about motivation to purge even more!
