This is lovely, Sue. The patterns are beautiful. I have some more ideas for this sketch. Hope to get to them this week.

Very nice cards! I especially like the ones with the patterned paper backgrounds.

I'm working on mine this morning. How is everyone doing the black/outline part? Just cutting a circle and arranging the wedges on that leaving a bit showing? outlining with a black marker? you aren't cutting a thin frame to put over the wedges are you?

Marianne - I cut a black circle then smaller circles of patterned paper and cut that into a pie and adhered onto the black... no frame here!

I'm thinking of digging out the CM cutting system and using that for making my circles. My idea was to cut a circle one step larger to layer the pie wedges on, but it's still a thought in progress.... ;)

Thanks, circles makes a lot more sense. Maybe I should start out following the sketch before I go off on a tangent

Good excuse to use the circle cutter, thanks, Monica. Hadn't gotten that far yet.

I really need to work on this soon. The major paper scrapping tear I've been on lately has produced a TON of scraps that would be perfect for those wedges. I had another idea for the circle just come to me as well, provided I can find the embellishment I'm thinking of...

Here are my cards:
I started out with the sketch in mind and did two but then I found the greeting circles from a CS kit and the flower stamping and had to use those, too.

Oh, my, Marianne, these are fabulous. I really really really love them. How did you do that first one? Or did you already explain? I jumped over here to comment before fully reading the entry. I love how you interpreted the sketch.
