Stamptember Challenge 10 - Thank You!

Post by nchoney »

Thank You – I have run out of Thank You cards. So I’ll be using this challenge to make some and replenish my supply. You could make a card or bookmark or tag…. Or even a layout (Thanksgiving would even count!) But it needs to have a “thank you” theme in there somewhere.

Great one Debi! Since I finally figured out how to create my own word "dies" on my KNK, this was a perfect opportunity to use one of the "thank yous" I made last week. I think this also qualifies for Challenge #8 and/or #2 for repetitive stamping and backgrounds?

I first made the background using the Color Burst powders on a heavy Multi-media card stock. Then stamped the bird as a repetitive background (oh...qualifies for my animal challenge too!) with Distress Paint in bronze. After cutting out the thank you, I painted it also with the bronze Distress Paint. The tape border on the left of the card is a cool, clear cellophane tape with a geometric pattern in colors I liked for the card.

So pretty! I love your color choices.
Farley, I think it was My Craft Channel that had a good deal on Distress Inks today. Weren't you saying you needed more?

Did I? I should slap myself if I did. But then there are 8 new colors now in the minis which is the direction I've gone. Love the little ones for stamping away from home so much that I use them often at home rather than the big ones. Thanks for the tip.

I haven't bought any of the new colors yet (although I LOVE them). If I do, I will probably go with the small ones as well.

Really like your card, Farley. Had to be fun to do!

I was trying to use up some cut card parts for a couple of classes I taught years ago.

These wanted to be TY cards. You can see a gelli print on one.

Farley the colors are really pretty. I know I will have to break down soon and get some of those color burst. My problem is I have so many things I have yet to use.

April you are really on a roll. Great cards.
