Feb. 2017 color challenge
Feb. 2017 color challenge
I find monochromatic projects to be, well, challenging.
So that's my challenge to you. Create a layout, card, AJ page, mixed media piece - whatever. Monochromatic PINK! In honor of Valentine's Day.

Printed the perfect photo last night!
Re: Feb. 2017 color challenge
This darned challenge is a toughie. It's hard to NOT put another color in. I hope gold counts as a neutral.
Again, my scanner hates metallics. All of the dark places are metallic gold - hearts, outlines, arrows. The mason jar isn't quite the right shade of pink, so I may end up using a bit of watercolor on it to "pink" it up some more. It still looks unfinished, but I'm darned if I know what else to do to it. Oh! And yeah me! I used several PL cards.

It's gorgeous!!! Yes, gold counts as a neutral.
Missing? Journaling? Splatters? It might not need anything else but I always advocate for journaling.

Love it, Pam. Good on you, jumping right in on this one.
Re: Feb. 2017 color challenge
Great layout Pam, and what an adorable little subject of your photo! I was kind of excited when I saw monochromatic, because I love that look when I see it. But PINK! This might be kind of tough. I have an idea in mind - we'll have to see how it goes.
Thanks for the challenge!

My quirky "Pink Lady" AJ page for the challenge. She was so much fun to bring to life from pink splotches of paint.

Both of these pink monochromes are so pretty. I don't have much pink that I can think of. But I'll dig around.
Re: Feb. 2017 color challenge
Just in case you're like me and think you don't have "enough" pink...

Thanks, Pam. Those palettes are beautiful. And I was reminded of a piece of almost pink cardstock I own that I don't like. I will start with it.

Carol - your piece is beautiful!
Here is my entry. We received this baby announcement from our cousins in Boston in 2015, and we haven't seen them since! So we've never met this little lady (second cousin to our kids). But when I saw the pink challenge, I immediately thought of the announcement, and the BABY letters I knew I had in my stash.
