Shimelle class sale (24 hours only)

Post by pamcook »

http://www.shimelle.com/paper/2064/scra ... e-classes/

$10 per class but you MUST use the link in this post to get the discount.there's a "fill in the box" where you type in the name of the class She cannot refund your money if you use the wrong link and are charged full-price.
I can highly recommend the "Return to the Collection" class. I refer back to that class over and over again. The kit she uses in this class is probably the last kit on earth I'd ever choose and it amazes me that she can make it look as good as it does. The "Perfect Collection" class is okay - very, very basic but I've learned something from everyone of her classes I've taken.

Has anyone else taken any of the other classes listed? "Learn Something New Everyday" is a group of videos from various artists. I didn't love it, but I think if I go back and review the videos, I might appreciate them more. I had hoped for more from Shimelle with this one. I bought "Journal Your Christmas" this past year and really enjoyed it. It's a very low-key but very good daily journaling/papercrafting class for Dec 1 through Jan 6. You always have access to the classes and every year, she's given a new set of prompts (although I think the journaling prompts repeat from year to year). This past year, she did a short video and a pdf every day. Some of the prompts encouraged you to think about your traditions of the past but all could be adapted to what you wanted to document. They weren't the typical "Today we..." type prompts.

Pam,do you download all the materials at once and then work on it in your time? I'm interested in the ones about blogging but it's not something I will really get to until probably next Winter.

All her classes are the same. Once you pay for the class and she sends you the confirmation email, you have access to them online (like the JYC class) all the time.
I bought a few and they should get me through several months at the rate I'm working!

Thanks so much, Pam. I took Perfect Collection and several others from Shimelle. I've been wanting to take Return to as well as Hitchhiker so I guess I will skeddaddle over there and buy some. Love her even though her style is not mine.

And can you believe, not one hour ago I promised myself not to sign up for anymore classes until I finish a few. What is wrong with me? I am cahrazeee.

I signed up for Paper Party. It sounds like it would be helpful (i.e. - help me organize my thoughts).
I want to taker Hitchhikers Guide when it's available.

It has been 24 hours now.

I imagine she is overwhelmed with the response. I hope she is. I want her to succeed.

She posted this morning that she's working very hard to get everyone's confirmation sent.

I'm with you Jen. As a working mom, I wish her all the best. I feel like she's holding her prices down for as long as she can. When she announced she's working on new classes, I was very happy.

Well, see what I missed by not checking in yesterday. I would like to have signed up for one but just a little too late.

Cheryl, did you check the regular prices for her classes? They aren't very expensive.
