Shimelle's new class

Post by pamcook »

Anyone else sign up?
For only $8, I had to jump on it. Rewarding myself for surviving this week.

Anxiously awaiting my confirmation email!

I would pay more for her classes. Her class content is really good.

Yes Debi, that's the one. Shorter than most of her classes but that's about all I can handle this semester.
I just found the top of my desk so I might unpack my rolling tote. One more religion class assignment but it's not due until tomorrow. My brain needs a rest.

Absolutely, I felt like putting a note on the paypal message that she's not charging enough,

Any reviews yet on this class? I don't want to fork out that stupendous amount of cash without knowing.

Jes' kidding again. But I am curious if anyone has started?

It was just announced yesterday. She typically takes about 24 hours to get sign ins sent out. I'd love to start it tonight.

What ever you pay, Jen, will be worth it with Shimelle! And, I am not much of a class taker, but she is a really good teacher.

For 10 bucks Canadian I jumped on board too; have never been disappointed in Shimelle's classes. I will say though that her initial class description didn't wow me; had it been an expensive class I might have passed. I guess time will tell once I see the content.

Am I the only one who really doesn't care for class content in video format? Oh sure, I like watching free YouTube videos, but if I'm trying to get a handle on a technique I'd rather see step-out photos a la Tim, rather than have to find the particular spot in a video and watch it over and over again. Even for a quick refresher it's a PITA to load up a video and find the specific information you're looking for. Not to mention videos - assuming they're even set up so you can save them - take up a lot of space on your hard drive. I miss the days of .pdf handouts! But I guess videos are less time-consuming for the presenter to make.

I don't mind videos. I love that I can watch them over and over. I don't save them, I just sign in and watch them when I have time or when I'm working on a layout. Shimelle, of course, has pdf's with her classes. I always save those to my dropbox account.

Like Pam, I prefer videos. I always have them playing as I scrap. They're my company. So I do listen to them over and over, picking up something different each time.
