How very timely, Pam. In sorting out the stuff for the tags, stuff for cards and stuff for JYC this afternoon, I wondered when Shimelle would start posting. I knew you would be on top of it! Thanks!

I had my email about it arrive last night after I saw Pam's post. Different email carriers get things at different times as well as different readers, etc. My hotmail is always slower than gmail, for instance.

Pam, as the expert, could you let me know if the prompts are different every year or does she run through the same ones?

Yes, Pam I finally got in there and have already posted. I know I won't be able to keep up but I've been taking lots of notes about everything that has been going on and will add to the journal when I can. I have a lot of photos but have not printed any of them yet. Need to leave space to add them.

I've looked at several of the previous years and all the prompts are different. It's going to be fun doing some from various years.

Actually, Marianne's done this more years than I have.
I think the prompts are rather similar but I do wonder how having a child might influence her prompts.
I hope to focus more on her photography tips. The best thing is that the focus is on the journaling so you can use vintage photos or current photos. There's no emphasis on "keeping up". Use the journaling prompts to record memories, current events, or even "maybe someday".

That sounds good Pam. I have a date book and I always write information from each day in it. The weather, what I am doing, or any interesting items. They can be added to my journal when I have the time.

Thanks, Pam, but I only did it one year, 2013. Last year, I looked at it and collected stuff, does that count? This year I might do something since I found the box I put together last year.

From the few years I've looked at it, there is a similarity to the prompts but they change a bit and the photos she uses to illustrate them change. She chooses photos from the previous year's participants. Also last year she put the written and the photos prompts together in one email instead of having two emails a day. So she fine tunes it each year.

I did use vintage photos and even photos I downloaded for some of the reminiscing pages I did. Everyone makes it their own. I love to see the Aussie and NZ pages some of the regulars do. They are so different from our cold weather Christmas traditions.

12/1 Jennifer. ;)
It seems the emails were there when I logged in at work. Since you're on that other coast, you should wake up to find them.

I can't wait.
Dang it. All day long I was thinking TOMORROW is December.

Do you think I need a life?
