Weekend online crop March 2016

Post by pamcook »

Shimelle has announced that she's hosting an online crop on her blog this weekend - www.shimelle.com/
I haven't looked at the details yet. Hope to see some of you there.

Too bad I'm out of town with no scrapping supplies at hand. I'll look forward to seeing your layouts.

Looks like fun. Maybe I can play late tomorrow or Sunday.

Here's the first challenge.

http://www.shimelle.com/paper/2142/welc ... ing-party/

I'm headed to a very wet grandkids' birthday party at a zoo. Of all the days to have an outdoor party! There is some cover...I'll be sporting my birding rain gear and hope to get a few photos of the kids and their party. Then maybe I can actually do some scrapping of one kind or another the rest of the weekend.

I have one almost finished but hunger struck and there's a newer Guatemalan restaurant I wanted to try (so glad I did!). On our way home. Should have time to post it before the sun's too low. It's a race against sundown this time of year.

Very nice pages, but I must say,
Miriam's page I just fell right into those
gorgeous eyes. Wonderful photo!
Was that a candid shot or studio?

Nice layouts. Are you following any particular prompts?

That was a studio photo. She was so funny that day. I has just bought her Halloween costume minutes before. She told the photographer she needed a picture with her wings. We put them on her, she turned around and that was the shot she took. My friend said she was preparing to be a Victoria's Secret model. it's one of my favorites of her.

I'm using prompts from Shimelle's weekend crop.

This is Miriam & Zain at a cousin's wedding in Pakistan last year. Mia really enjoyed being part of all the traditional festivities. Zain just wanted to play with the goat.

These are all wonderful Pam. I just got home from the birthday party and hope I have at least a couple decent photos to use in spite of the rain. Now that I'm dry, cozy and fed I'm about to try one or two of the first hour's suggestions. Then I'll look to see what other challenges have been listed.

I got to the link you posted, Pam, but I'm not seeing anything else about her prompts for today.

I've been busy sorting through stacks of CS paper that I've had "stored" since the storms. Now I'm figuring out what I still have and I'm going to be starting that Arizona trip soon. If I don't get these photos scrapped, I'll wind up losing them again.

I realize that, Pam. But which ones? Color blocking?

Oh! Sorry. Duh.
Well, the first one is either Using a Large Photo or Old & New Supplies.
The second is Monochromatic and the third is Colorblocking (I suppose). I wouldn't call it Colorblocking but it was 'lifted from the one Shimelle did and called Colorblocking so that's what I called it. I just finished one using a map paper but it's way too dark to get a photo to post.

Debi, you can find the prompts on www.shimelle.com/

I didn't even notice the wings until I read your comments. Those eyes are gorgeous and just pull you right in.
