Picture resize ?

Post by ChristyB »

I had to get a new computer last month after my old one decided to go on vacation and leave me behind.

I was able after several weeks and a lot of $ get everything transferred over. All except photoshop.
Now to be honest literally the ONLY thing I used photoshop for was to resize pics. Now I am at a loss.
I refuse to buy it again, especially just for what I was using it for.

So my question...

do you have any free options for resizing pictures to post to the web?

You can use Irfanview. Simple image editor. I use it as my quick go to for cropping and resizing.

I'm in the same boat Christy with both laptop and desktop new. So much to learn but I don't do much photo resizing either and used Irfanview on my last computer and plan on putting it back on the new one.

I use PicResize when I don't use PhotoShop Elements. It's pretty easy and it does make the perfect re-size photos for posting online.

BTW - I use Carbonite for back-up. When I had to replace my computer, I reloaded everything onto the new one from Carbonite and it was like nothing ever happened. Everything was back and in perfect working order.

Help all. I used Irafanview to resize photos on my old computer and went to re-install here on my new one but I got a very serious virus warning. There are so many Irfanview that now I'm very cautious.

I use InfraView on my PC and PicResize on my phone. They both seem to do the job.
