Loved this

Post by pamcook »

I found an envelope of pictures from my trip to Chicago in 2011. Twenty-eleven. Anyway, I used supplies from the sampler kit I received (3 pieces of the paper, flower stickers, 2 of the chipboard paper clips, 1 of the journaling cards, and some of the sequins).
I found more of my Disney pictures, too! Happy dance!

I enjoyed NY far more than I thought I would. I didn’t expect to like Chicago as much as I did. I’m more of a small town beach or mountain person. Chicago seemed less frenetic than NY.

Very nice, Pam! Good job using the stuff from the sampler kit so soon. I really like the background paper with all those little windows in the tall buildings.

Pam your LO is outstanding! Whether it was deliberate or not all of your elements give a strong vertical linear feel which reflects the buildings in your photo. Fabulous use of your new kit.

Nice layout! What I'm most impressed with is that you remembered when the trip was taken! I have photos printed spanning three years now, and I can't even narrow down the year to which year of three the photo belongs to!

I couldn’t believe how that background paper mimicked the windows of the buildings. Who knows how long that paper has been in my stash.

I used the flair badges from the S&C kit on this page. I love, love the ornamentation on this building and because of it, was intimidated to scrapbook the pictures. Probably should have used some G45 steampunk papers but found this blue/green ombré that worked so I stopped looking.

Julie - I can remember the year because Kenan was about 9 months old and I remember them showing me his Halloween costume. It must have been September? I think!

Love these pages, Pam. I lived in the western suburbs of Chicago from the time I was born until we moved out here in 1999. My grandparents, great aunts and uncles all lived in the city and I went to business school on Michigan Avenue. It really is a beautiful city.

Great pages, Pam. I always enjoy reliving trips via the photos. I must've missed something though, not sure what sampler kit you're referring to. Maybe I'll find it in another thread.

Scrapbooking & Cards (or is it Scrapbook?), Keitha - their sampler kit.

Here’s another page. I used another of the chipboard paper clips and BONUS POINTS for finding a sheet from CS Egyptian kit! I thought I had given it all away.

I couldn't believe that library when we wandered by it last Fall while in Chicago between trains. I thought I was seeing things from Hogwarts. Wish we had had more time to explore it.
