Cards with squares

Post by katymjo »

I made these two cards for a couple of lads who have birthdays in December. I used a set of Cuttlebug dies that were among the first I ever bought, when I bought the machine with Marianne, many moons ago! I saw the idea on Pinterest. The tiny squares are bronze metallic stickers.

Perhaps we should have a "Use your oldest dies" challenge? :P

Great idea!
Love it! Could even take it a step further and have a "combine your oldest and newest die" challenge.

What great guy cards Kathryn.

Yes I like the idea of an oldest die challenge. There are a few of those languishing about. So much has changed in the die world since I first got my old Cuttlebug and very basic dies!

Those are great! It's hard to come up with cards for men who aren't into sports, hunting, and fishing. I need to make a stack of these.

Pretty cards and a great idea for a masculine card. I have those dies but hadn't thought to use on a card.

Perfect choice for masculine cards. I'd be hard pressed (no pun intended) to figure out what was my oldest die; definitely QuicKutz, and probably an alphabet. They are definitely being neglected these days.

I think my first Sizzix die might have been one of the alphabet sets. Not sure though. I know I went hog wild after I got that first machine and bought tons of dies. I'll put that challenge on my list! There are quite a few piled up that I want to do, but I've got to survive the rest of the year first! LOL.

Great cards, Katherine! I agree that the design is perfect for any occasion and I think it looks good with more "masculine" colors.
