Yesterday's play

Post by Keitha »

Art journal page I did yesterday. I'll still likely add a caption or focal image, but I like to scan my pages at this stage for subsequent use in collages, etc.

Thanks ladies. I used acrylic paints (Liquitex heavy body and Dina Wakley), the darker purple bits are Color Burst crystals, black Stabilo pencil brushed with water to outline the flower stencil. Harlequin diamonds stamped in Ranger Archival ink, then overstamped with white paint. The white drips are Dr. Martin's white India ink watered down a bit, and the dark blue and green 'blobs' and orange drips are ancient Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze. Which were stinky when I opened them; perhaps time for them to go. 6B (very soft) pencil for the line/scribbled border.

I always love seeing and hearing what others are working with.

I can't decide if it's because there's something in it that sort of smells like nail polish, or if it's just bad. It was thick, but it did go on - and once dry doesn't stink anymore.

It's beautiful, and thanks for the "formula"! I haven't done that type of work in ages.

I sold all my glimmer mists at a LSS Flea Market a couple years back. They frustrated me to no end, so I got rid of them!

Oh, it looks like something you brought back from your island holidays. Really pretty, lots of depth.
