Calling us out, eh Kathryn? I've flaked already; found instead of treating these prompts as quick warmups I was way overthinking it and spending entirely too much time on them - at the expense of the other projects I want to get done. So you may see some more from me, but you might not

Your cards are great - especially like the one for Sunrise! I might have to check the library for that book and have a quick read when I'm there.

Keith's, I'm hoping these little exercises will jump-start my mojo and get me to play with some of my stuff!
I love the dogs' names in that book, like Toothy Perkins and No-tail Ryan! I found it again on Google!

Now I really have to find it and read it; Toothy Perkins - love it!

I'm up to date with the cards, even did today's yesterday, after our grueling morning at Aldi and Tesco grocery shopping!
Just haven't posted the cards yet.

Here is the book read aloud, Keitha and Kathryn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uwcemXfnLc

Today's prompt is "vintage".
Seems like a good idea! :drunk:

I never thought of that idea, Kathryn! What's wrong with me?

Here are my first 4:
1. Sunrise-gelatos over music paper on neon orange index card
2. Lost and Found-I'm at a loss. Couldn't think of anything for this so said to someone "I'm at a loss..." so that's it. Plus bonus: that background was "found art"-paper towel used to clean up paint brushes and ink.
3. Vintage-I brought along some ads cut from a 1902 Women's magazine so not only is the paper itself vintage but so is the apparatus pictured in the ad.
4. Lavender-What else could I do besides my favorite scent.

Ladies, I really like all of these. Marianne, the handsoap in my bathroom currently is lavender-scented. I find myself constantly smelling my hands after washing them - also one of my favourite scents.

Thank you!
And thanks for the reminder, Keitha, I'm buying some lavender soap and other stuff tomorrow at the supermarket.

Moondance Soaps out of Raleigh has some of the best lavender products I've come across.

We have a couple of lavender farms in North Yorkshire where you can buy their homemade products.

Thanks, Pam, I've bought some things from some of the other lavender farms in NC that you've recommended and also from one down on the Eastern Shore. I've brought some of those with me.

You know I like your lavender fields card! I have my Wold's Way shopping bag in my purse all the time! I just want a few household things in a fragrance I like to counteract all the fake chemical cleaner smells in this house. I'm gradually putting them all away so I don't smell them.

Two more cards. I had never met the word "kawaii" , hence Learn a new word every day. I wrote the meaning on the back. Here in the UK, bunting is still everywhere, and owls are really cute, unless they're scary!
The other prompt was Detour. Road closed signs appeared all over the moors a few months ago, and resulted in some very long detours!
