What I did on my Christmas vacation
What I did on my Christmas vacation
I've been having some crafty fun the last few days. So here's what I've accomplished:
First, I found a pair of ladies long leather gloves at the thrift store. I have small hands and they were even too small for me, sooooooo I altered one. This was really easy - I just put some bling on the glove and hung it on a vintage drawer pull that I also added bling to. Next, I've had an inspiration piece in my files for quite a while -I guess you could call this a kind of paper quilt. I don't know who did the original so I can't give credit where credit is due, but here's my version. It's on a 8 x 10 canvas. And today I made my 2013 calendar using a printers tray.

Oh Sue, I love all three. I have a printers tray and couldn't decide what to do with it. What a great idea! Where did you get the correct size calendar pages which I assume are replaceable each month.

Love all of it!! I need to do that with my printers tray!

Carol, I couldn't find a good calendar online, so I took one that the electric company sent and scanned it into photoshop. I resized, printed and cut. I stacked all twelve months and glued along the top edge, so I just rip off the top one when the month is over.clamscrapper wrote:Oh Sue, I love all three. Thank you all for the lovely comments.

Oh, I love your version of the Cathedral Window paper quilt. Wow, that is wonderful! One of those wish I had thought of that!

Oh cool idea. We get little calendars in the mail. Don't think I have one yet but will be on the lookout.

Great job on those Sue! My favorite is the calendar! Both the other 2 are a tie for second!

Oh my gosh - these are all quite fantastic! Great job.
I totally don't comprehend printers trays. I like the look of the ones I see finished, and I even have one that came from Swirlydoos, with a whole bunch of stuff. But I can't make any more sense of it than I can the random piles of things in my kids' bedrooms. My brain wants to take all of the disjointed unrelated random things and sort them and put them away. So I don't see a printers tray anywhere in my future. I should just RAK mine.
That canvas! Love it! I can so do that. I want one for my craft room. And what a great way to use pieces from the scrap box. Are they just punched circles that are scored and folded?
