My snow day projects

Post by pugmom »

We're getting a lot of snow today so I got to stay home from work and have a ME day. I was in a crafty mood and wanted to try something totally different (for me) so I made two necklaces. I've never made jewelery before and I don't have any of the tools, chains, or clasps, so these just go over the head.

The large piece on each one was a plain piece of wood from a cheap bracelet I bought a while back. I altered them to match the paper beads I made from Luanne's tutorial

Sorry about the snow but those necklaces are quite lovely. I can hardly believe that this is your first attempt at making jewelry. Nice job.

Yikes Sue! These are fantastic. Glad it snowed and got you into making jewelry now. Never would know that you hadn't done this before. Wouldn't know those big pieces are made from wood either.

Sue, they're gorgeous. I never would have guessed wood, either.

Wow, Sue! Those are both GORGEOUS!

Hope you're faring okay down where you are; we've got a foot already and they said something about 30" before we're all done. Maybe I won't have to go into work @ JoAnn tomorrow . . . my checking account sure could use a break.

One of these days, I'd love to meet you in person to be able to say, "I've met the lovely and talented Sue!"

Keep on creating and having a blast. Oh, and there's a bead show next Saturday at the Denver Merchandise Mart; always happy to enable!

Thank you everyone. You're all so kind and encouraging.

Kelli, this snow is getting ridiculous. We probably have 18 - 20 inches now and it's STILL snowing this morning. I'm SOOOOOOOOOO ready for spring.

Here are a couple of pictures I took this morning.

Wow--you can keep that white stuff. It spit rain and snow here yesterday but nothing to amount to anything. Mu daughter lives in Northglenn and she said it's crazy!
