Distress Oxide inks

Post by pamcook »

Has anyone bought them yet? I am so tempted - especially after watching Jennifer's video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhMUJA6 ... e=youtu.be

I can't see investing in all 12 colors now but dang, the effects!

I watched TH's video on them and really like the effect with some of the colors. Others I didn't really care for, so I'll only be picking up a few of them. They're definitely different.

And dang it, now I have to go watch the video you posted. I was going to clean my range hood.

I'm afraid to watch her video. It's in my queue to watch though. Just seeing her samples could easily lure me in.

They really do look interesting. But I'm wary of any new Ranger product and if it is going to remain stable after several months.

I'm only a short way through but I like the looks of it. I will likely try a few colors to play with. I have low resistance to inks.

OHMYGOSH, Pam, thanks a lot for that enabling. I am watching Jen also and OH MY...these inks are amazing.

However, I am always slow to buy, so like Marianne, by the time I get around to buying, y'all will have tested them for me and let me know what I can't live without.

Those results are very cool. I love Jen's Skittles look.

Just ordered from Ellen Hutson 4 colors. Hey...I had a 10% off coupon from her since I was such a good customer in past months. Mustn't let it go to waste.

Cracked Pistachio, Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet.

Yes, I am an impulsive girl sometimes.

Finally had a chance to watch this video today. I was already convinced from Tim's demo - now I not only want some inks, but some of the dies Jennifer used, too LOL. Apparently I'm not alone, as most of the dies I want are out of stock at SSS. Might end up being a good thing for my wallet.

Geesh, I'd been doing such a good job of deleting the new product emails without looking, too.

I bought 3: Faded Jeans, Cracked Pistachio, and Vintage Photo. Watched a Tim demo video on them... then played with a tag. And I really do like the results.... enough that I ordered the other nine. :tomato: I'll see if I can get Photobucket to cooperate long enough to post a photo in a bit.

I could be following your good example.

I bought Cracked Pistachio and Wilted Violet as an introduction. Haven't opened yet.

My tag, which I decided to finish off using the Altenew globe stamps and dies I was playing with a couple weeks ago. Added a couple corners on the bottom from a really old CS kit I don't remember the name of, dug out the Vintag inks and some Tim metals to color the plane and globe charms, and viola! A lovely tag. And that was only my first attempt at making a background with the Oxide inks.
