Those are beautiful. Thanks for posting, Sharon. By the way, I sometimes see you pop up on the ATT group. I lurk and look at all the blogs but missed this one.

Wow - that technique would make gorgeous ATC backgrounds, wouldn't it?

If anyone gives it a go, please post so I can see what you came up with :)

Yes Marianne, I post from time to time on ATT but mainly there to check out the fantastic work they all do :)

I followed the link yesterday, but didn't have time to respond. Why do you think she insisted on spraying alcohol instead of putting blending solution on the applicator? She says that blending solution isn't meant to be sprayed, but why does the technique require spraying? I couldn't figure that part out.

I'd like to try this, but it would likely just be with blending solution, as I don't want to buy alcohol just for this (we keep prep pads everywhere, rather than a full bottle of alcohol).

Here are my attempts at this. The AI backgrounds are ok but my embossing didn't seem to be very deep, used a thinner paper so it was hard to swipe the inkpad over and just hit the tops. I've done it in the past with better results.
They are all silver embossing except the top right which is blue pearl.
Bird on lower left has a wire and transparency wing. I used a bit of Faded Jeans reinker to color the bird.
Upper left one has some Distress Stain on the bottom background, Happy Birthday and the brad to add a little purple.
The butterfly is covering a big silver smudge of ep that was the bird on the embossing folder.

Nice job Marianne...I agree, next time I will just tap the tops, instead of swipe.
