Gesso fun

Post by Monica »

Yeah, okay.... I've been blog-hopping around the planet when I should be crafting. ;) Found this really cool post all about gesso and thought I'd share, since we all know how awesome gesso is anyway, right?

okay, I didn't read her whole blog... but Jen (ScrappinJen) and I challenged each other this week to do the "Gesso Espresso" deal in the Stamp rap. Stamp & emboss with clear on printed or painted paper. Cover with gesso, wipe off where the embossing is. I posted my Raku card over at the CS board, and on my blog you can see the cards http://squirrelyart.blogspot.com/2011/0 ... nique.html

but these are some "art mail" postcards" to send to some of my friends! I'm on a bird craze

Monica, thank you for the link!
Nancy, love what you have done also!!
I went on a little online shopping expedition before easter and for the life of me have no idea why I ordered a big tub of Gesso when I still have one here LOL, but now I have some ideas. I also (among too many other things) bought some modelling paste in a tub also and for the life of me I do not know why LOL... I guess I need to find some inspiration for modelling paste too!!
