Oil Pastel Question

Post by tlscrap »

Oil Pastels.... same as the gelatos? I ask because I know the gelatos dry when I'm cardmaking, but at Micheals that have this HUGE set of oil pastels, with TONS of colors for $5, but will they dry ok when making cards?

TIA!

Not!

Oil pastels will dry but take long than gelatos. Also not water soluble.
You can do some neat things with them though.

Ok! Good to know! I'm not a patient person, so I'm glad I didn't buy them

I have a pack of the Portfolio oil pastels - they are water soluble and very cheap. I use them for shading. The gelatos are more fun to use though - just like painting with chapstick.
