Transparant ATCs

Post by Luanne »

I was turned on to Transparent ATCs a few weeks ago, but since I'm on a budget, I couldn't buy the plastic at the store to make them. Today I had a light bulb moment... The plastic that kids toys are covered in is transparent!!! Not the flimsy celophane, but the thick clear (so you can see the toy) plastic!

I just cut a few with my 12" tonic...like butter! You dont get many, because of graphics and size restrictions, but even a few seem soooo awesome!

So this holiday season, save that plastic!!! While the kids are playing with toys, grab your cutter and make ATC blanks!! Obviously you need solvent ink like staz-on... but they are incredibly cool when done. It's nice to round the corners so you don't poke anyone.

ps- look for an ATC swap in the New Year!

Waaah!
My grandson's won't be getting
toys with plastic around them this
year,
They are above toys, now, you know.
LOL
Maybe I should put a few on
my list so I can have some plastic. :)

You'll be surprised how many things come with them, even for adults!

You are right. Are the edges sharp?

That's awesome! I'm sure with two little ones there should be plenty of plastic. Jake is getting the Sodor roundhouse - and I'll bet there's a big ol' sheet of plastic in that box. WooHoo!

The corners are sharp, so I use my Fiskars squeeze corner rounder... I love those!

it's the thick stuff for the atcs. I'll give it a few months for people to collect some.
