TT's Debossing Technique

Post by mpizzazz »

Recently on Tammy Tutterow's blog she featured a debossing technique using embossing folders and crackle paint. I gave it a try on this atc and card.

Yes, it really works. The only tip I would add is to do any wet coloring like sprays, distress stains, watercolor, etc either before you emboss the paper or after you do the crackle paint. If you add any color between the two steps, it can soften the debossed areas and they aren't as deep to hold the crackle paint.
Otherwise, it is a cool technique.

Nice! I really have to get back into ATCs... those are gorgeous! And great tip on the technique... I embossed paper for cards, and then sprayed shimmer on them.... no more embossing... oops...
