Pearl Ex Techniques and Video Links

Post by mpizzazz »

Would anyone be interested in a collection of Pearl Ex Powders? I have 2 sets of different colors for a total of 24 different jars. Each is at least half full, most are closer to full. The cheapest price I have seen for the 12 packs is $20.
$15 plus shipping.

No longer for sale.
See below for ideas on how to use the ones you have!

 I'm trying to figure out why exactly I felt that I had to have every color of them, because I sure as heck haven't used them.

A cool diea for using the PearlEx powders... go to Youtube and search for "glittered glass" technique tut. Think I've figured out what to do with the few PearlEx powders I own!!

The internet is too slow tonight for me to watch that, Monica. I'll try another time but, really, I'd rather they all just go away.

I'll probably try that - not only would it help get rid of the Pearl Ex, it'll help get rid of the mountain of chipboard.

Ditto what Pam said.
Thanks Monica for the youtube link.
I know I bought them before Tattered Angels released Glimmer Mist. Then of course, Tim had to show how to use them with a stamping technique and out to the store I ran.

Saw the video this morning. Thanks, Monica, it looks like a great way to use chipboard and the Pearl Ex. I also watched the one she referenced by Racho. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNbEGvCSjbc I love the cloisonne effect. And it's nice the way she shows what she made out of the pieces.
If we aren't careful, we're going to be pulling out the pearl ex and perfect pearls and actually using them :-o .

There for awhile back in the day, I did use these a lot-before Lumiere paints, stickles, etc. I even have a large jar each of silver and gold which I would save to turn into paint but all the little jars could go on forever if I let them. A little goes such a long way!

This is so cool!!! I have a ton of chipboard that I don't use because I can never make it look nice. I also have some pearl ex powders and I even know where they are. Bonus! I spent part of last weekend organizing all my different types of paints, so now I am ready to go. Thanks for the link.

I'm trying to figure out exactly why the clear wouldn't work on the cloisionne technique if you're using black paint on the background. Think I'll experiment a little this weekend since it's supposed to rain and it's going to be too cold to work in the yard.

Pam, I was wondering the same thing... even if you had to do a couple of coats. Also, couldn't we use the sealer spray that we used on the pan pastels instead of hair spray?
