Gorgeous Paula!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you can use the workable fixative instead of hairspray.

Yes, you can use clear UTEE - you get a different effect completely but I think it's as beautiful.

I just tried something, sort of a combo of the two techniques with what I had to work with. I used the fixatif instead of hair spray. It seemed to work fine. You just need something to glue the Pearl Ex down since it has no binder. I'm going to try it without and see if the Pearl Ex floats off when you put the ink then UTEE on.

Beautiful! I love both examples. Would clear embossing powder work instead of UTEE? I don't have any UTEE. Can you believe there is a craft supply I don't own?

How did I miss Paula's post? They look great!!

Judy, UTEE does a thicker layer than clear EP. But try it and see what you get after a few layers.

Paula and Marianne, great!

I've been busy this afternoon too. Only got one completely finished but about five or six in various stages. I love this technique. I used hairspray and clear Utee. This flower had two coats of the Utee because I wanted it really thick. So fun!

Ok, so, Paula, about how much Pearl Ex do you think you used up with all those pieces you did? I estimate for my 6 little flowers maybe 1/2 tsp.

Oh, man, you guys are bad, very, very bad. Now I have to go and watch that video and make some of these beauties this weekend in addition to playing with my gelli plate. Good thing I'll be snowed in and my house is pretty clean - all I really have to do is laundry. Bad, bad PAO ladies.

We're bad, but so much fun. Go play and get lost for awhile. Gonna go try that cloisonné technique while my stuff is still out.

So the first picture is the glittered glass technique. The second picture is the faux cloisonné technique. The procedures are different using the same products and have a different effect. The glass one is smoother (stamp before Utee) and the other has more texture because of the stamping into the Utee. I like them both.

I must have missed a video!! I don't remember seeing the one with the cloisonné technique. That looks amazing!! And I love the flowers that you both did!! I was thinking of pulling out some flowers, but got lost with the chipboard!! A couple that I did was a little different. As I was heating up the clear utee, and while it was still hot, I tapped in some gold utee. I love how that flowed into each other. I plan on doing that one again!! This was so much fun. Thanks for the link!!
