Administration Building (FAQs)

Post by Monica »

Hello and welcome to Camp PAO-WOW!

ORIENTATION for new campers starts here. Grab your maps and off we go! Make sure to note the location of your cabin, restroom locations, the mess hall, and most importantly... where the various camp activities are.

Our tour starts at the Admin building, where you'll find the camp store, a box to place your letters home in, and a staff member on duty at all times should you need someone.

RIght next door is the mess hall, where the cooks are hard at work making us a fabulous lunch (I hear they have chocolate mousse planned for dessert!).

Just off to the left you'll see the Arts & Crafts building, with several different classes to cover varied interests. To prevent any accidents, the gsasworks area is off-limits to everyone except those who are taking classes or doing an independent course in glass.

Continuing on, we come to the Photography building, where we perfect taking great photos, learn editing, and tackle the glorious world of digi-scrapping!

And on down the path, we come to the boat house and swimming area. Don't you just love watersports in the summer?

As we turn away from the water and mosey along the path further, we come to the riding stables. You can also see several riding/hiking trails going off into the distance. Remember to pack pleanty of water and snacks before heading out on a trail!

Just past that we have the sports field... suitable for archery class, capture the flag, dodgeball, croquet, and any other game we can think of!

Here is the First Aid Station, manned by Nurse Bess. Say hello, girls! Come visit her if you need anything for scratches to headaches and all things in between. She also has a very effective hangover remedy, but it tastes horrible!

And moving right along... you'll notice that the next building is full of tools for keeping our camp neat and clean. Camp clean up and recycling are very important and help preserve our camp and the environment.

And how could we forget our great campfire area? Perfect for roasting marshmallows, telling spooky stories, or enjoying a camp singalong.

And lastly, we come full circle and arrive at the Lodge! The luggage has been taken to your cabin, so go unpack and report back to the mess hall in half an hour for your rotations on KP and camp clean up. ;)

Welcome to camp!!
