Has anyone tried this?

What clubs do you belong to, what do they offer, would you recommend or beware...

Has anyone tried this?

Post by tlscrap »

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but I know some are looking for other monthly kit clubs, here are 2 that I found today...or maybe I've already posted this and forgot, hahaha....

One is a Stamp Club, the other is a card club, they have more, but I thought they were reasonably priced...

If anyone belongs to these, let me know if you like it?

I did the Paper Wishes club several years ago and ended up disappointed. The paper is all extremely light weight and you don't get much card stock weight paper. I looked at them again a year or so ago and they were still showing the same papers that were in the kits 6 years ago. Unless they've changed a lot (I'll look at them again after this storm blows over!), I wouldn't consider them.

I wouldn't do it----quality and variety are not there. I don't even bother to look at the catalogs anymore.

I toyed with joining their Dazzles club after getting the Welcome kit and loving the Dazzles in it, but decided I would probably just be wasting money on something I'd most likely not use. I get their free catalog every so often, but I don't know taht I have ever ordered anything from them! I was tempted a couple times to buy some TH stuff, but lucky for me my local craft store started carrying a lot of it.

Mom used to be a member but dropped it several years ago. Often it was just a Hot Off the Press paper pad along with some prepackaged embellishments that you could buy elsewhere.

I checked out the scrapping kit and it doesn't look much different from when I was a member. I left them and went to CS and was amazed at the difference. Now I'm still trying to make up my mind if I want to join another club or just say to heck with it. I do miss getting a monthly box, but at least I'm clearing out some of this stack.

Pam, that's why I went with Scarlet Lime's frugal kit. It's just enough - and it keeps me out of the stores where I ALWAYS over-spend. Personally, I love that it's stuff that's available in stores - because it's stuff that I want and not stuff that I'm just trying to make work and the drive over to Archivers isn't an easy drive. Christy does a great job of pulling these kits together.
