I had a handful of branding strips and a few long paper scraps on my table during the paper reorganizing so made a few cards for this challenge. Also used a few pieces of borders from sticker sheets.

Great use of your strips, Marianne. I like the way you used lacy strips among the patterned ones.

I never had any of those storage dishes, Pam. Tupperware was the storage Queen at our house, still is!

Thanks for all the nice comments on the cards. I love scraps but not the embellishing part.

Great cards Marianne and Debbie. I need to save...lol...those strips in the future. ;)

I have never heard of Pyrex being referred to as a refrigerator bowl. I never had this particular style, but my MIL did. Live and learn.

Very fun card, Debbie! Tupperware rules supreme here as well, although I do have a few 'fridgies' picked up at Depression Glass shows. I'm not old enough to have bought them new. :D Mine aren't Pyrex though, but Jadeite. Together with some of my vintage Fiestaware bowls I've occasionally thought about using them to corral bits on my table, but I'm afraid they'll get lost in the piles and accidentally swept onto the floor somehow.

The particular set is for storing leftovers in the fridge and appropriately named "refrigerator bowls".
You know older Tupperware is full of BPA? Food should not be stored in it.

And end of hijack.

Debbie! Perfect use of scraps!

I came across this group of 4 X 8 papers from a Simon Says Stamp card kit a few years back. I remember how irritated I was that they came that size. It seemed to me that they were being cheap and cut up 8 X 8 paper pads in half! Typically the specialty papers were 6 X 6. What was I going to do with this size?

Well it's still in my scraps stash and though a weird size I'm going to try and make 2 - 3 cards from them. There, I've challenged myself and can't back down now. Stay tuned and hopefully you'll see a card or two by the end of the month.

I already have an idea for the file cabinet.
