The bottom one didn't have to be modified. The middle two have sections cut out to bypass the plumbing. The top drawers are now gone - the fronts are screwed into place. There are tons of YouTube videos.

As for the hooks or bars...I hope you choose what works best for you.

Love the whole thing. I like hooks, but whatever works for you should be what you choose.

Thanks, Pam, for the explanation and photo. I wasn't picturing the plumbing going straight down and the dresser having to be altered all the way down.

Thanks but I still have to over-think every decision! If the walls were just dry wall, no problem. The thought of making holes in these walls is painful.

Maybe you should consider a standing towel rack rather than putting holes in walls....
