Rachelle? Are you snowed in?

Post by pamcook »

Just saw that Portland got a foot of snow! I have no idea about where anything is in Oregon (except Portland because I was there).

Well, if Rachelle is home she's on the coast so not sure if they are snowed in or not... but my cousin in Dallas OR is - about an hour and a half SW of Portland.

Looks like they may be under a flood warning more than snow. When were they going home?

Yes, I am home. We drove from Corvallis to Florence on Monday. Not bad, raining and slushy in places, big snow in Portland hit Tuesday night. We are staying tucked in at the coast where it is 46 degrees and pouring buckets.

On a more serious note, my husband's father and his wife went to Portland to visit friends after the wedding and she fell and broke her foot and her knee, and they are now stuck in Portland due to this lovely weather. She is ok, it will just be a long recovery.

We did get snow while I was gone over New Year's and my friend Elsie took a picture of my driftwood tree covered in snow. We were bummed we missed it, but glad it didn't stay and we're not buried in it now.

The tree looks so pretty with that bit of snow on it. So nice that Elsie took the photo.
Time to stay inside and do some crafting/sewing for yourself now!

Lovely photo of your driftwood tree with the snow. Sorry to hear about your FIL's wife's fall; it's been a terrible winter for falls and broken bones.
