December 2012 Scrapbook Challenge
December 2012 Scrapbook Challenge
Happy December everyone!
This will be my final challenge. Debbie B has graciously agreed to issue the challenges for 2013. Thanks Debbie!
So - the challenge for December is to create a page featuring a favorite recipe. If the recipe is from a friend/relative and their photo is in the layout - bonus points!
OR
Create a page showing a favorite holiday tradition (doesn't even have to be a winter holiday tradition).
OR
Create a page showing YOU opening your Secret Sister package or YOU creating your handmade project for your Secret Sister.
Have fun!

Cool, all good challenges.
If we did the one with photos of us making our Secret Sister gift then we would have to wait until after we open the gifts to post the layout, right? I don't see a date over there but have asked when it will be.

Making the gift - be creative. Mask anything that might give any clues away. Or wait until later in the month - whatever works for you!

Re: December 2012 Scrapbook Challenge
Neat, Pam. I posted this last night for the Weekly Chronicle on CS.
For a time, my Mother was really into making quilts. She gave my Sister and I our choices and I picked one for Kevin, while my sister got three for her daughters. Her Xmas quilt was her favorite and is one of my treasures.

Oh I know just what to do. Every year we make portuguese sweet bread at Christmas, and I have some great photos from last year that need to be scrapped. DD kneading the dough etc. good reason for me to get going on those!
Re: December 2012 Scrapbook Challenge
I forgot to add - you get 10 bonus points when you send me any holiday treats featured on your page.
Love that quilt, April! It's beautiful.

While waiting for glue to dry, I thought I'd actually do a challenge.
Re: December 2012 Scrapbook Challenge
Neat, Pam. I could only read "cats who think they are presents." Cute. Like your tree.
Re: December 2012 Scrapbook Challenge
2 Candy canes on the tree and ornaments collected over the years.
3. Awkward pictures of me.
Other traditions - Chris sitting on the floor Indian style opening presents. A huge mess for me to clean up. Nobody up except me early on Christmas so I turn on the music, make a pot of coffee, turn all the tree lights on and just enjoy the moment.

What a great page, Pam! You're a mom - photos of you will always catch you in an awkward moment. I know this to be true.
Christmas morning at our house - Cara jumping up and down on beds waking people up as early as possible. Always before daylight. Even in her 30's she still does this.

April, that's such a cheerful Christmas quilt. What a beautiful keepsake to cherish.
Pam, it's nice to have a sneak peek at your Christmas tree and the Christmas Cats!
Kathryn.

Wonderful pages. For some reason I can't get into any pages right now. I seem to have lost my mojo again.

Re: December 2012 Scrapbook Challenge
Here in the UK no Christmas party is complete without Crackers. I don't know if you have them in the USA. They are tubes of card and coloured paper that have a joke, a little gift, a paper hat and a strip of card that goes bang when you pull it. Great fun, although the jokes are usually of the "groan, groan" variety, and as for the hats....!
