Re: Scrapbooking Challenge January 2013
Thanks again ladies. I do like to SB with a little pink now and then!
That is a fabric "flower" that I've had for ages. I never thought about it looking like a four leaf clover, but it does have 4 petals. I did think it needed a bit of green, to mimic the green in the lower right.katymjo wrote:is that a lucky four leaf clover you've tucked behind the flowers?

Jill, did you crumple the paper and ink it, or is that the pattern? Love the effect!

Nice job Jill - very elegant! And whoa - I saw that photo before I looked at the person posting it, and knew it had to be yours. You really resemble your father a lot.

thank you for the complimates
yes, I wet the paper and crumbled it. Then I let
it dry, and rubbed the ink pad over.
I see I forgot the title.
yes I resemble my parents.

Re: Scrapbooking Challenge January 2013
Skating in at the last minute, as usual. I have labored over this layout all darn month. Finally picked up the photo yesterday and attached it tonight. I substituted gears for the doily shapes. The "steampunk" leaf/branch, arrows and many of the gears were cut on Silhouette. The rest were done with a Spellbinder nestie set. Everything inked up with Tea Dye. Title is made with foam Thickers. I should also post this in the stash challenge as I am sure I have owned that bracket shaped die cut piece of paper for at least seven years. YaY!!! I used something from my stash. As mentioned, I have real trouble with single page layouts so I decided this would be the Title page in a scrapbook about a Road Trip my sister and I took this past September. Works great. Thanks for looking. Liked this sketch a lot. I just struggle with single pages.
