Keeping my Gelli Plate
Keeping my Gelli Plate
My homemade gelli plate is about 2 months old. I'm wondering if I should get rid of it before I leave for 6 weeks. I don't want the house exchangers to find some horrible mess in the fridge if it breaks down. What will happen to it, anyone know? How long have you kept your homemade ones?
Re: Keeping my Gelli Plate
I threw mine out just before we left for Oregon; it was starting to get mold spots.
Re: Keeping my Gelli Plate
I probably should have looked at it before posting.

laughing, but I'm with Rachelle.
If I was you I'd toss it less they think you have a science experiment in the fridge.
Mine lasted about 7 weeks before we starting get stuff on it.

Ok, it's in a bag waiting to go out in the trash on Sunday. It wasn't moldy just a bit mushy. I think it was losing its grip.
