Gorgeous!

How would this look compare to ink splatted on glossy paper and salt thrown on it? But I've never had much luck getting salt to make starburst shapes. :anyone:

I watched the video. Did you do the bleaching on any of the images? Do you know what paper she used, if it was glossy?

I tried distress reinkers and salt on Ranger glossy paper. Cool effect but you get too much color. Bleach or water didn't work on it to remove color.

Marianne, I did the bleach on the woman's face and neck - there wasn't a lot to take off, but it did take it off pretty well. I left that white. I aso used bleach on the seahorse and then colored him with watercolor pencil.

I think she used glossy paper. I tried it on watercolor paper and you get a totally different effect because it soaks in a bit rather than "running". Still a cool look, but I like the glossy better. I think the video subtitle said stamping paper. Tim H. has some stamping paper that I think I'll look for. The stamped image also pops more on the shiny paper.

Those are gorgeous! Not just the background technique, but the stamping also. Really really nice!

Did you use bleach on either
of these? I thought that was
interesting when I watched the
video on You Tube
