October/November 2014 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge

Post by ScrappinJen »

Sorry I've been missing in action with this challenge. I felt there were enough challenges going around with Camp and all. Now that summer has drifted into fall, I'm trying to get my act together to post sketch challenges. Here is a sketch I put together based upon a layout I made for Ali Edwards' Story Stamp for September. I hope you enjoy using it.

And here is the layout I made with stamps from Ali's new Story Stamp selection. The challenge for September was "Prompts." The stamp I used on this layout was Love This.

Papers are from DCWV Mod-Retro stack. Title alpha stamps are from Club Scrap's Wheel & Sprocket. Not much else to say about it. I've been wanting to scrap these photos of my little sister since I got them. Ali's class pushed me to get 'er done. Thanks for looking and for playing along. Hopefully.

Nice job, ladies! It's good to see the enthusiasm for the sketch challenge. I guess we've missed it!
And, Pam, great to see the County Fair paper, that's an oldie.

Wow we have some quick scrappers here! And I'm not one of them, Really great LOs everyone!

Nice sketch Jen and I think your summer hiatus for this challenge was a good idea with so many other challenges afoot.

That is an old paper. I'm sure I have some of the yellow paper from that kit but found this one first - so that's what determined my color scheme.

Oh, you mean the yellow paper that looked like the structure of a ferris wheel? I loved that paper! They did it in white later, too.

Yep - I'm sure it's in my yellow cardstock stash somewhere.

Great layout, Pam. County Fair is still one of my all time fave kits. The red. The blue. The yellow. All great and I'm sure I still have some of it in the hoard.

And I think I see a bit of a Story Stamp there! There are at least two of us. I just saw the reveal for October's Get Real and it will be another challenge for me. She's stretching me outta my box.

Thanks for playing along so quickly. I hope we've inspired a few more to get busy scrappin.

Yep - a bit of Story Stamp. Ali's so right - those prompts help guide my journaling away from "We had fun at the fair" to documenting things I want to remember about the NC State Fair.
