Update on Nick Wolf

For those of you who didn't see Chris' FB post, I'm sharing:

It is with a shattered heart and eyes blurred by tears that I post this. Nick's cancer has returned. He has one large tumor on right side of brain, and numerous small ones scattered through out. He will be getting an MRI of his spine tomorrow after a blood transfusion. If the spine shows cancer has spread there, then he will be on hospice care. If it hasn't, then his doctor wants us to go to Duke to consult for a tailor made protocol. Not for a cure. But for the gift of extra time. Because of his hemolytic anemia he is disqualified from any clinical trials. We have not told Nick or Scotty. We are hoping to wait until after the holidays to tell them.

My heart is breaking for them.

This is just too sad and tragic. I feel so bad for the whole family. It's just so hard to understand something like this.

I can't imagine what she's going through. My heart is breaking for her. Her baby has been through so much.

My heart goes out to them. They've already been through so much and to have it come back is devastating. Praying for them.

I can't imagine how they are dealing with all this, poor kid.

They were to do an MRI today and if the cancer hadn't spread further they would recommend Duke for a workup to give them more time, not for a cure. Have not heard anything further.
